In this project, I created a cloud-based website that I can use later as my personal portfolio. I hosted the webpage on a virtual machine using Microsoft Azure, and it can be accessed using a public IP address. This project focused mainly on gaining hands-on experience with cloud computing, server setup, and web hosting. Instead of just learning theory, I was able actually to set up and manage a working server.

As the operating system, I have used Ubuntu and installed Nginx as the web server to host my webpage. Throughout this process, I learned about virtual machines, IP addresses, IP address configuration, and how a live server works. At the beginning, some parts, such as connecting to the server and configuring Nginx, were confusing, but I was able to figure them out with my tutor's help and through continuous practice.
I plan to turn this webpage into a full personal portfolio to showcase my projects, skills, and achievements. It will help me present my work more professionally when applying for jobs. As an IT student, an approach like that will be very useful for getting a job in this field. Besides the idea of how cloud platforms like Azure actually work in real life, This project helped me to get a idea of Managing the server by myself and mainly about the cost managaments, (TCO - Total cost of ownership) how to chose the correct choice from few options, how to know the option we chosed is the most suitable one and many more about the managemenet. Also, it improved my problem-solving skills, and how to approach a logic problem gave me more confidence in handling real-world IT tasks. Overall, this project was a good learning experience and a strong starting point for my future in IT.
As the license, I chose the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) for this project. This license allows others to use, share, and even modify my work, as long as they give me proper credit. I chose this because it's good to share knowledge and let others learn from my work, while still ensuring I am recognized as the original creator.
As I plan to develop this project into my personal portfolio in the future, I need to retain ownership of my work. This license gives a good balance between sharing and protecting my work.
